To operate or not to operate... Good Question!

The PICC-line went in fine. Yumi is now sleeping away very soundly. The doctor came in and examined her and she didn't even stir!

So the doctor in charge came to see me and talk about the plan. Looks like the contrast did get a little further in her intestines but still have not reached the colon. Yumi's despondency was better today than yesterday. She entertained a visitor. Yesterday she didn't even want to talk on the phone to her bff! (Although she is still going through quite a bit of meds.) The doctor says he would like to give the bowels a little more time to work. Get another xray tomorrow and see. They still are just not sure if she is having a partial or complete obstruction.

The length of our stay here completely depends on whether or not she is having surgery. If not, hopefully we can go home Friday. . . If she has surgery, it could be longer. These are not days the docs have told me, I am totally going on past experience! So don't hold me to those days! Yumi would love visitors, especially ones she can hang out in the Teen Zone with, so if you'd like to visit, please give us a call and see how she is doing that day. The phone number is 206-987-2000 Room G-2008.

I wouldn't mind an evening visitor myself for a dinner out. Children's is a great facility, but their cafeteria really leaves me hungry!

Praise the Lord for His great mercy on our family. He is our Jehovah-Rafa (Healer).
